Shocked! The Danger of Negative Visualization

Sandra ColleRain | Pychic Energy, Visualization | Thursday, July 9th, 2009

I read an article a couple days ago that… and, well… it shocked me.

It was a subject that we really need to discuss here.  I have posted several articles about psychic dirt on this blog.  I described psychic dirt as any type of negative psychic energy that makes you feel weak or depressed, in a bad mood, angry, sick, or negative in any way, etc.

I told you that psychic dirt in your bedroom or on your clothes could make it very hard for you to sleep at night.  And.. we talked about the negative effects of picking up bad energy at the mall.  This is only a fraction of what the effects of bad energy on your body can cause. In short, you and I, do not like negative psychic energy and the bad effects it can have on our bodies.

Now self development people, psychics, healers, etc.  will tell you that what you focus on in your life creates your reality.  But the article I read that really concerned me argues that getting what you want causes you to want even any more.  We get our desires, but it is never enough.  We are never happy with what we have.  We are always reaching higher.

“If you focus on a new house and visualize it and keep desiring it, then you are more likely to get it,” say the self help people.  And what about that new car, and that perfect body?

Okay, all is well with the world.  We strive, we improve our lives and we get what we want then we go to a higher level of desire.  Now it seems to me that desire causes new inventions, a higher level of living, better medical care, and a prosperous country.

“Oh, no!” say some ancient philosophers who feel it is their duty to rise up out of the past and tell us tell us that we can’t be content with our lives UNLESS WE FOCUS OUR LIVES ON ABSOLUTE NEGATIVITY.

“What!”

“Yes,” they say.  Negativity and disaster are good for you.  They will give you peace of mind.  They will make you happy.

“What!”

According to this theory, you should visualize yourself in a wheelchair, deaf, dumb, and emaciated.  You should visualize your child being murdered, your house hit by a tornado, your job being lost and any other extremely negative thing you can think about.

“Holy cow!  You have got to be kidding me.”

Your mind should always be focused on a horrible world of devastation.

“Why?”

…because when something good does happen in this world of horror and devastation, then you can feel “the good” with more intensity.

“Are you telling me that I can’t be happy, I can’t feel good, without spending all my time thinking about disaster and devastation and horror and death and being homeless and having my family taken from me.”

“Yes, yes!” say the ancient philosophers with overwhelming glee.

AND it is suggested that you stop and visualize this doom and gloom several times a day to make sure that you are always in a disastrous state of mind.

“Okay, enough is enough.”

I know that there are people out there who are taking this advice right not.

But I am telling everyone reading this article, “Do not do negative visualization! It is a terrible suggestion that can adversely affect your life.”

If you focus on the negative then the negative will be drawn into your life.

Let me give you a little example.  I know a woman who focuses on the nitpicky little things.  She looks for spots on forks in restaurants to make sure they meet her cleanliness specifications.  She washes her car keys.  After all, they may be carrying germs.  She washes her hands all day… she sees germs everywhere.  She is always focused on the negative.  And within a group of people when something negative happens, it always happens to her and not to the rest of us.  Bad things happen to her all the time, and then she complains, “Why do things, always happen to me?”

“Answer: Because that is what she is focusing on.”

Like the article I read recommends… if… all day long you go around thinking about horrible disastrous things happening to you… then I want you to think about all the negative psychic energy that is building up on you.  You would be carrying around a horrendous amount of negative psychic dirty energy.  It would cling to your clothes, it would get in your hair, it would surround your body.

The result of this dirty psychic energy would be that you would probably be depressed, have an attitude all the time of “I don’t give a shit”, be prone to sickness, be tired and susceptible to illness.  Your energy channels would probably be overloaded and switched, which would make you do some things the wrong the way.  Other people would feel this negative psychic energy and not want to be around you.  You would be an easy target for psychic attack.  …AND a million other reasons.

Never visualize the negative unless you want the negative to come into your life.

Choose to visualize the postive and lead a happy, fulfilling life.

May the force be with you!
