Psychic Dilemma: Awake Or Asleep?
Certainly I can tell if I am awake or asleep. Awake is awake! Sleep is sleep! Or is it?
I don’t have much time to watch television these days, but back then, back in the days when I was living and dreaming about doing psychic work… One night I was watching television, it must have been around midnight, I woke up and started to go off to bed.
But….
Something wasn’t right. Something was strange. My vision wasn’t clear. I thought there was something wrong about everything in the house. I went to the front door and looked out onto the street. The world was strange outside, too.
But I was so tired I didn’t care. I climbed into bed. I closed my eyes. I opened my eyes. The texture! There was something wrong with the texture of everything. Instead of the room being clear, it was as if…
Well, this is hard to explain so let me make an analogy, since I can’t let you look through my eyes.
Think of it this way, when you look at a computer, when a photo is on the screen, the photo looks almost like it looks when you look at the original photo in your hand. Now think about what the photo would look like if you enlarged it several times on the computer screen. You would began to see that the photo is made up of squares. In computer language, those squares are called pixels.
Had the space in my house been pixilated? In the strange world I was experiencing that night, the texture of what I was seeing looked like millions of enlarged pixels covering my whole house? But instead of square pixels, the room looked as if I was looking through a room full of small balls.
I closed my eyes and hoped when I opened them again, the world would be back to normal, but it wasn’t. The texture of the room was still very strange. I tried to open and close my eyes several times but nothing changed.
I wondered if I was maybe having an out of body experience. What if I wasn’t awake? What if my body was still lying on the floor by the television set sound asleep. This thought made me nervous, too. If I got up and walked into the other room and I was laying there asleep, I would have really been upset. Then I would have had to stay awake until I figured the whole thing out and I was just too darn tired.
Since I was afraid to open my eyes and see a world that didn’t look quite normal, I soon fell asleep. Thankfully by morning my world was okay. No more pixels, no more strange texture. I was home again… home again… and quite glad to be back to the world I was used to living in.
When I was in that strange texture state, I was fully conscious. So if I was asleep, that seems to indicate that the sleeping state is as conscious as the waking state. In a previous post (“Can You Be Taught Telepathically?”) I described how my instructor was able to teach me while I was asleep.
Whether I was sleep or awake, the experience poses some interesting questions. Does everyone go out and learn in the sleeping state at night? Do we travel to different places? Do we take classes? Do we talk to other people? Are we able to talk to people from the past AND from the future? What do we REALLY do when we sleep?
I remember an incidence when I once woke up during the night. I knew that I had been to a university. It seemed to be an old German university and I knew that I had learned something there. When I woke up I could still see the building where I had met German professors.
Our bodies are far more intricate pieces of equipment than we could ever imagine.
